Bulk resizing guide

Resize multiple images online without uploading them

ConvertBuddy’s bulk image resizer is designed for product photos, website images, social media assets, document scans, portfolios and any task where many pictures need consistent dimensions. Add multiple files, select one resize method, review the calculated output dimensions and process the entire queue locally in your browser.

Which resize method should you use?

Fit within maximum size

Keeps every image proportional and ensures neither dimension exceeds your chosen width or height. This is the safest option for mixed landscape and portrait images.

Exact canvas dimensions

Produces identical output dimensions. Use Contain to add background space, Cover to fill and crop, or Stretch only when changing proportions is acceptable.

Set width or height

Sets one dimension while calculating the other automatically from each image’s original aspect ratio.

Scale by percentage

Reduce or enlarge every image relative to its original dimensions, which is useful for consistent 50% or 200% batches.

Frequently asked questions

Are my images uploaded?

No. Supported images are decoded, resized and exported inside your browser.

Can I resize JPG, PNG and WebP files together?

Yes. Mixed supported formats can be placed in one queue, and you can retain each original format or convert all outputs to JPG, PNG or WebP.

Will animated GIFs stay animated?

No. Browser canvas export uses the displayed frame. Use a dedicated animation tool when animation must be preserved.

What happens to transparent areas when exporting JPG?

JPG does not support transparency, so the selected canvas background color is used.
