How to convert text to PDF online

  1. Write or paste your text. Use the editor as a blank notepad or paste formatted content from another document.
  2. Format the page. Apply headings, bold, italic, lists, text colors, alignment, links, tables and images.
  3. Choose the paper setup. Select A4, US Letter or Legal, portrait or landscape, and normal, narrow or wide margins.
  4. Export your document. Use Download PDF for a direct file, or Print / Save PDF for the browser’s native PDF output. You can also keep a DOC, HTML or TXT copy.

The editor autosaves a draft in your browser’s local storage. That helps if you accidentally refresh the page, but important documents should still be saved to your device.

Privacy, browser support and document quality

Your typing, pasted content and inserted images are edited locally in the browser. Direct PDF generation also happens in the browser; a PDF library is loaded only when you request the direct PDF download. ConvertBuddy does not require an account for this tool.

For documents where searchable/selectable text, advanced page numbering or exact enterprise print layout matters, the browser’s Print / Save PDF option may provide the most faithful output. The direct Download PDF option is designed for convenience and visual consistency. Always review the finished file before sending or deleting your original content.

Text to PDF FAQ

Can I convert text to PDF online for free?

Yes. The editor is free to use and does not require an account. You can download a PDF directly or use the browser’s Print / Save PDF option.

Can I paste text from Microsoft Word?

Yes. Copy the content from Word and paste it into the editor. Browsers usually preserve common formatting such as headings, bold text, lists and links. Complex Word-only layout features may need adjustment.

Can I add images to a text PDF?

Yes. Use the Image button, paste an image from the clipboard, or drop an image into the editor area. Click the inserted image to resize or remove it.

Does it support Urdu and Arabic?

Yes. The editor accepts Unicode text and includes a right-to-left option. The exact appearance depends on fonts installed or available in your browser and operating system.

Can I create a Word file instead of PDF?

Yes. The Word DOC option exports a Word-compatible document containing your formatted HTML. For advanced DOCX features, a full desktop word processor is still more appropriate.

Are my documents uploaded?

The document editor works locally in your browser. Your text and inserted images are not sent to ConvertBuddy for conversion.
