Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the ScreenVexa – Screen Recorder & Screenshot Chrome extension, published by ConvertBuddy, processes information.

1. Information ScreenVexa processes

ScreenVexa processes only content that a user deliberately chooses to capture. Depending on the selected feature, this may include a browser tab, application window, screen, microphone audio, shared tab or system audio, or the visible content of a webpage.

This processing occurs inside the user’s browser and device to create the requested recording or screenshot.

2. Information ScreenVexa collects or transmits

ScreenVexa version 1.0.2 does not collect, sell, rent, share or transmit recordings, screenshots, microphone audio, browsing history, personal information or analytics to ConvertBuddy or any third party.

3. Local storage and temporary processing

ScreenVexa uses Chrome extension storage for user-selected preferences and temporary screenshot data required to create and open full-page captures in the screenshot editor.

Recording data remains in browser memory until the user downloads the recording or closes the recorder page. Downloaded recordings and screenshots are stored on the user’s device according to the browser’s download settings.

4. Permission usage

• activeTab: used after the user requests a visible or full-page screenshot of the currently active webpage.
• scripting: used for full-page screenshots to measure, scroll and restore the active webpage.
• storage: used for preferences and temporary local screenshot processing.
• unlimitedStorage: supports temporary processing of large full-page screenshots that may exceed Chrome’s normal extension-storage quota.
• downloads: saves user-created recordings and screenshots to the user’s device.
• clipboardWrite: copies an edited screenshot after the user deliberately presses the Copy command.
• Screen, tab, microphone and audio access: requested only when the user starts the corresponding capture function. Chrome displays its own permission or source-selection interface where applicable.

5. User choice and control

Users decide what to capture, can cancel Chrome’s source chooser, can deny microphone access, can stop recording at any time, and decide whether to download or copy a result.

6. Data retention

ConvertBuddy does not receive or retain capture content from ScreenVexa version 1.0.2. Local extension preferences and temporary data remain subject to Chrome’s storage behavior and may be removed by clearing extension data or uninstalling the extension.

7. Data security

Because capture content is not uploaded by version 1.0.2, the extension reduces exposure associated with external transmission and server storage. Users are responsible for securing downloaded files and obtaining any permission required before recording people, meetings, confidential information or copyrighted material.

8. Children’s privacy

ScreenVexa is a general productivity utility. It does not operate an account system and does not knowingly collect personal information from children in version 1.0.2.

9. Changes to this policy

If a future version introduces analytics, accounts, cloud storage, sharing, synchronization or another data practice, ConvertBuddy will update this policy and the Chrome Web Store disclosures to describe those changes.

10. Chrome Web Store Limited Use

The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
