ScreenVexa is designed around local capture and editing workflows.

Last updated: August 20, 2026

Summary

ScreenVexa provides screen recording, audio recording, screenshot capture and local video editing inside a Chrome extension. Core media is processed on the user's device as part of normal use.

Captured content

ScreenVexa does not require captured screen, webcam, microphone or screenshot content to be uploaded to a ScreenVexa server for its normal capture and editing workflow.

Local storage

Saved recordings, project information and extension preferences may be stored locally by Chrome on the user's device. Users can remove saved items from ScreenVexa and can clear extension data using browser controls.

Permissions

ScreenVexa uses Chrome permissions required for features such as active-tab capture, scripting on a user-invoked page, local storage, downloads, clipboard actions and the side-panel workspace. Permissions are used to provide requested extension functions.

Camera and microphone

Camera and microphone access occurs only when the user enables those capture features and browser permission is available. Device names may be shown locally so the user can choose an input.

Accounts and analytics

Core ScreenVexa use does not require a ScreenVexa account. ScreenVexa is not designed to include advertising analytics inside the extension runtime.

Third-party browser behavior

Chrome, the operating system and selected websites may apply their own privacy and permission behavior. ScreenVexa cannot override browser sharing prompts or operating-system device permissions.
