Record browser-tab audio
Select a Chrome tab in Chrome’s source chooser and enable Share tab audio. Tab audio is generally the most reliable way to capture sound playing in Chrome.
Record microphone audio
Enable the microphone option before starting. Chrome may ask for microphone permission the first time. Choose Allow for the extension to include your voice.
Create an audio-only recording
- Open ScreenVexa and choose audio-only recording.
- Select microphone, shared tab audio, or both.
- Start recording and select a Chrome tab when shared tab audio is required.
- Stop and download the WebM audio recording.
Take a visible-page screenshot
- Open the webpage to capture.
- Open ScreenVexa.
- Select the visible screenshot option.
- The capture opens in the editor.
- Crop, draw, add a rectangle or text, or pixelate private details.
- Copy the image or download it as PNG, JPG or WebP.
Take a full-page screenshot
Choose full-page capture on a normal webpage. ScreenVexa temporarily scrolls the page, captures multiple sections, rebuilds the image and restores the previous scroll position.
Important limitations
- Chrome internal pages and the Chrome Web Store cannot normally be captured by extensions.
- System-audio availability depends on the operating system and selected source.
- Protected video or audio may not be capturable.
- Very long webpages may be scaled to avoid browser memory limits.
- Users are responsible for obtaining permission before recording other people or confidential content.
