4K Recording

4K screen recording with a stability-first path.

ScreenVexa requests up to 3840×2160 at 30 FPS and uses Chrome's native display track for ordinary 4K capture whenever composition is not required.

Why 4K is handled differently

4K capture places significantly more load on browser video encoding. ScreenVexa reduces unnecessary work by detaching heavy previews when the recorder page is not visible, avoiding a second constraint pass on the live display track and keeping ordinary capture off the canvas compositor.

Recommended 4K test

  • 4K / 30 FPS
  • Entire selected source
  • Webcam off for the cleanest native path
  • Record active scrolling or moving content for several minutes before relying on it for long sessions
Available 4K resolution depends on your display, source, Chrome and device capabilities.
