Privacy in Handwriting Font Studio

Your handwriting is personal. This tool is designed so the normal creation workflow can run in your browser without sending your handwriting image, strokes, or generated font to a ConvertBuddy server.

Local by default: direct handwriting strokes, uploaded sheet images, extracted glyphs, preview fonts and generated font files are processed on your device.

What is stored

The editable font project is autosaved using your browser’s local storage so an accidental refresh does not erase your work. You can start a new project to replace that local autosave, or download a JSON project backup that you control.

Uploaded handwriting sheets

When you choose an image, the browser reads it locally for character extraction. The supplied Font Studio code does not include an upload endpoint for the sheet image.

Generated files

TTF, WOFF, SVG and project backup files are created in the browser and downloaded through the browser’s normal download system.

Important website integration note

If the main ConvertBuddy website later adds analytics, advertising, cloud save, account sync or other network services to this workspace, those services should be documented in the site-wide privacy policy. They are not required by the font-generation engine itself.

Your responsibility

Only convert handwriting or other source material that you have permission to use. ConvertBuddy does not gain ownership of handwriting merely because it is processed in this tool.
